Seabox - Subsea Water Intake and Treatment (SWIT)

Seabox develops and provides state of the art technology for Subsea Water Intake and Treatment (SWIT). This technology forms the basis for our Increased Oil Recovery (IOR) technology and this is probably the easiest and most effective way for an operator to increase and enhance oil production from any offshore field. We have strong technical documentation behind our statement to maintain that our technology is superior to traditional topside technology in the areas important for Increased Oil Recovery.

We work as an engineering partner with the oil industry and can perform engineering studies to arrive with the optimum technical solutions for subsea water injection and corresponding cost and schedule estimates. Subsequently we will supply complete subsea treatment units or together with our partners complete subsea treatment and water injection systems installed and ready for operation.

The SWIT Technology

The SWIT treatment process provides high quality water in areas that are essential for increasing the sweep efficency and avoiding reservoir souring. As such, it fills a technology gap by enabling a total subsea waterflood system thus increasing IOR beyond what is possible by traditional topsides water injection systems.

Injection of treated seawater from topsides is the most common method for Increased Oil Recovery (IOR) from offshore and subsea reservoirs. Seabox offers a new and cost-effective SWIT (Subsea Water Intake and Treatment) technology that allows complete Water Treatment and Injection systems to be placed on the seabed. This has many advantages like:
